Do you stand behind what you say in court and give the words you recite weight and conviction? Part of speaking and advocating persuasively requires having a point of view on your client’s case. This CLE will afford you the opportunity to take on a simple exercise and adopt a formidable technique to change the way you advocate. Attorneys are storytellers; our job is to tell a persuasive story. To be an effective and persuasive advocate you have to have a point of view to argue.

Attorney and actor Gregory Esposito will lead a vocal exercise to strengthen participants’ oral advocacy. Take part in arguing classic nursery rhymes and see how the words can take on different meanings when the orator changes her point of view.

Actor, singer and public speaking and communications coach Stacee Mandeville will present effective body language techniques for persuasive argument.
