Description:
This course discusses how to identify elder abuse and neglect in nursing homes as well by home health aides and what to do about it. There will be a thorough discussion of the Public Health Law as it applies to Nursing Homes as well as details on how and when to litigate these matters. We will also cover neglect in settings such as Assisted Living Facilities. Lastly we will discuss how to advise your clients who are considering home care to lower the likelihood of abuse and neglect in the home setting.
