How does the Brooklyn Lawyer Referral Service work?
Call us and our friendly, trained staff will listen to your legal needs and help you find the attorney or community service who is right for legal situation.
Our prescreened attorneys have on average over 10 years of experience and are continually being evaluated for customer satisfaction by our staff of counselors.
What Does It Cost?
The cost of the first meeting with the lawyer of up to one-half hour is free of charge for injury cases, social security cases and workers’ compensation cases and there is a nominal $25 consultation fee for most other cases. This fee is payable by cash or money order.
After the first meeting with the attorney, you should discuss with the lawyer the cost of additional advice or representation. There are no further charges to you from the LRS and you are under no obligation to hire the attorney to whom you have been referred.
The Lawyer Referral Service is a not-for-profit public service of the Brooklyn Bar Association.
